Baptiste Monsaingeon is a sociologist of science, technology and the environment. His research initially focused on analysing the relationships between contemporary societies and their waste. For the past ten years, he has been particularly interested in plastics, attempting to reconstruct their socio-technical trajectories, from the point of view of the history of their production and use, as well as their impact and regulation. He was awarded the CNRS bronze medal in 2024.
